Vaccinations

The term vaccine comes from “Vacca” (latin for cow).

It was once though that cow maids that were exposed to cow pox were immune to small pox, so an inoculation made from the puss of a cow pox blister was created and provided to the general population as the first vaccine agains small pox.

This did not work!
